From abandonment the songs on HEAT found new meaning together on a cassette mix. Born in the summer of 2020, this record is inspired by desire, desertion, delusion, desolation, difference, and entropy. HEAT was fully realized with the help of visual artists Kiah Celeste and Greg Sheppard, repurposing parts of this world to create a new one.
Noisebody is the moniker of Louisville-based musician Noah Barker. Inspired by modern production and underground pop music of the time, Noisebody formed in 2009. With a jazz foundation, the band has lush harmony, expressive solos, and syncopated rhythms. Inspired by Jimi Hendrix, the keyboard parts are played like a guitar. Gradually the sound of the project evolved to a smooth psychedelic project with gravelly keys overtop punchy bass and drums.
